Forging a Shared Identity: Building a Holistic Learning Community

Presented by: Matt Coleman, Chief Executive Officer of Inflexion and Alexa Achille, Project Manager at Inflexion

This interactive workshop delved into the power of a shared identity within a school community. We explored how to cultivate the shared values, beliefs, and understandings that create a supportive and purposeful learning environment for each and every student.

In this workshop we explore:

  1. How to identify the core values and beliefs that will serve as the foundation for your school community.
  2. How to craft a clear set of goals that encompass academic, social, and emotional well-being for all students.
  3. Strategies to engage all stakeholders (teachers, staff, families, students, and the broader community) in building a shared identity.

By engaging, you will be ready to:

  1. Develop a practical plan to implement your shared identity and celebrate successes.
  2. Apply a framework for creating a holistic learning environment that benefits all students.
