This workshop explores two powerful tools for fostering a cohesive and readiness-focused learning environment: Common Language and Learning Walks.
- Common Language: Using a shared set of vocabulary and routines across classrooms creates a sense of unity and consistency, supporting student learning and growth.
- Learning Walks: These brief classroom observations used to provide feedback and share best practices. Learn how to conduct Learning Walks effectively and leverage them to support teachers and refine your school’s vision for readiness.
In this workshop we will explore:
- Practical tools for developing a shared vocabulary and conducting effective Learning Walks.
- Strategies for using Learning Walks to promote collaboration and continuous improvement.
- How to leverage the role of common language and Learning Walks in school improvement.
By participating, you will be ready to:
- Create a clear set of terms and routines to reinforce readiness expectations for students and staff.
- Design focused Learning Walks, gather valuable classroom observations, and provide constructive feedback. A renewed sense of community and shared purpose in building student readiness.
