With a career spanning over two decades in education, Courtney Spelber has dedicated her professional journey to enhancing students’ academic experiences and holistic well-being. Beginning as a teacher, she transitioned into administrative roles, eventually assuming the pivotal position of principal at Ocean View High School.
At Ocean View High School, alongside an exceptional team, Courtney spearheaded transformative initiatives, leading to the school’s recognition as a Knowledge Development Site for Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This acknowledgment underscored the school’s commitment to cultivating an inclusive and nurturing educational environment for all students.
Currently serving as the Director of Student Services at the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD), Courtney leads the MTSS team, prioritizing meaningful connections with each student. HBUHSD holds a steadfast belief in honoring every student’s individuality and providing equitable opportunities for growth and success.
Recognizing the paramount importance of fostering robust relationships with both students and staff, Courtney champions this ethos as a cornerstone of MTSS initiatives at HBUHSD. Together, they are dedicated to empowering every student to thrive and reach their fullest potential.
